OK so here is the set up and location of both; there are two rope swings on the Sacramento River, well actually it’s the American River, but it is right where the two meet. The American River is the cold one that leads into the Sacramento.

2011 and the new camping season is going to be upon us soon!

Living like a local is just that.

Knowing what the people who live in the area know. All of our “finds” are born from some trip were on right? We have all been on trips that if “we had just known” we would have made the right turn, or found the hidden cool spot to eat, or best place to get firewood, or secret camping spot or go hiking, quaint little coffee shop, garage sale…really whatever you can think of?

OK so this has to be the craziest thing that we saw this summer. And oh by the way one of the most fun! While we were out on Bullards Bar Lake this summer we were coming around a little peninsula that stuck out into the lake and started to head towards our favorite cover to hang out in, have lunch all that cool stuff. Well as we were heading over there, something caught my eye up on the bank of the lake.
