There's A Lot Going on at Hawk's Nest RV Park
Fred and Dean, owners of Hawk's Nest RV Park in Tulelake, CA, have been friends since the age of 10! They have had a lot of ups and downs but they've learned that they can always count on each other. So when they had the opportunity to buy and run an RV park they knew that together they were up for the challenge. For the past 2 years they have spent many long days rennovating the park to bring it to its full potential. Fred and Dean, as well as their wives, are proud of the way things have progressed and are excited to have new comers and regulars alike come stay at the park. Take a Day Trip to the Subway Cave
One of the great things about staying at Hat Creek RV Park is it's proximity to great day trip locations. One of these places is the Subway Cave located just down the road from the park in Old Station, CA.
20, 000 years ago lava flowed from Mt. Lassen into the valley below. As the flows cooled, they left tube-like caves behind. One of these caves was discovered when the top of it partially collapsed allowing people to enter. Today you can walk through the 1/3 mile long cave on a self-guided tour. This day trip is a great way to get out of the heat for a little bit as the cave is a cool 46° F. Make sure to bring a flashlight as it is pretty dark in there and wear sturdy shoes as the ground inside the cave is not very smooth.
The staff at Hat Creek RV Park would love to welcome you to their little part of the country and have you stay with them. If you are interested in knowing about where other cool day trips are located around the park ask the staff to show you where they are using the myCampmate app. Check out their listing in the myCampmate business network for more park information and to reserve a spot at the park today!
